What is wrong with the Indian education system?
Ever wonder why each and every 6–7 year old child when asked to draw something, they draw this:
Now, you might think what's wrong with this?
The problem is uniqueness and creativity.
How is it possible that this same image of mountains, birds, trees comes in the mind of every child? Why is it so that children are not capable to think of any beyond than this scenery?
There was a survey done, where children who were not sent to school were asked to draw. They all drew something different. One of the child drew an autorickshaw, shops. Other drew dragons and used their imagination.
So why is it that school going children have the same thinking? Why is it that from such a young age, the creativity of students is killed.
It's because school makes limits to everything. They teach us what to think, not how to think. They teach us it's wrong to voice our opinions in front of elders even if they are wrong. They teach us to memorize. They teach us to be robots. They teach us that life is shit. They teach us there's limit to Achieving something. They teach us mistakes are the path to failure, not learning. They teach us arts doesn't matter.
Why do children who ask so many questions, don't give a shit about anything in their teenage years? Who did this?
- There are a lot of things wrong with our education system. Everyone wants it to change but no one ever tries to change it.
